The property felt exclusive, with probably fewer than 20 other guests, and it was quiet and peaceful. The crowd was 99 % Caucasian, so as a single traveling woman of color who looks ambiguous, I felt out of place and didn’t eat or join the nightly entertainment. The two nights I stayed were country‑themed, and no one spoke; they just stared. Even when I tried to greet them or excuse myself, they seemed already settled. I once met an African‑American couple who stayed to themselves and spoke. I wish there were more entertainment options, maybe a boat or ferry since they’re on the beach. Housekeeping left items in the toilet and sink, and there was hair in the shower. I didn’t call to complain because I bring my own sanitary items and didn’t want to tip for something that should have been done before I arrived. I have no other complaints and will come back with a companion next time.

“It was nice and relaxing but other activities seemed to be more time consuming.”

The staff service and food were very good, and the beach was very clean; however, I didn’t like how confusing it was which restaurants were open, couldn’t find my concierge on the first day of arrival to make reservations, the cenote was advertised as included in the package but when we tried booking it was an expensive travel package, and it was unclear where to show up for the catamaran snorkeling – we had to walk around asking many staff who were also unaware of where to go for pickup.

“Playa maravillosa, excelentes instalaciones y tranquilidad.”

The hotel offered a quiet atmosphere, wonderful beaches, and friendly staff; however, the sea right in front of the beach was full of sargassum, and because the slope and depth were minimal, the water was churned up, murky, and uninviting—a result of the local geomorphology, hydrodynamics, and season, which the hotel couldn’t really change. We received advice from two concierges during the first hour after arrival, but after that they were essentially absent. Still, the hotel employees were helpful with our questions and reservation requests. We found the bar and pool hours a bit restrictive for an adults‑only property.

“Wonderful stay in lovely beach resort”

The staff at this hotel are absolute gems - they're friendly, helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile. Angel in Limo Limon was a particular standout, always greeting us with a warm smile and a cheery welcome. The food is excellent, with plenty of options for veggies like us, and the house wine is a nice touch. We loved the relaxed atmosphere of the resort, and the beach is stunning.
