Beautiful Location. Luxury Rooms. Very well maintain. Delicious food. Staff are very friendly. Very safety place
I arrived the first night at 23:30, and the gate was locked — something that was never mentioned during check‑in. I had to ring the bell for about 10 minutes until someone finally opened. The staff’s explanation: “We thought you were already in your room.” Bed: When I got to my room and opened the bed, there was a huge stain on the bedsheet. I ended up sleeping on top of the bedcover with just a thin blanket. There were no spare blankets in the room, so I had to sleep in long pants, a sweater, and even used a bathroom towel to stay warm. It gets quite cold at night in Nuwara Eliya, and the room walls were basically uninsulated — just aluminum and glass. Bathroom: The sink was clogged and full of water the first night. When I reported it, they told me, “You need to push the bottom to open it.” (Something that wasn’t mentioned during check‑in either.) Shower: The first night, I had to wait 5 minutes for hot water to start. The second day, after waiting over 10 minutes, there was still no hot water. I called one of the workers, but he couldn’t fix it. I had to shower with cold water, and only afterward was it repaired. Payment: They claim to accept card payments, but the card machine was “not working” that day. I had to pay in cash using 5,000‑rupee notes, and they didn’t have change. I ended up leaving about 150 rupees extra just to avoid another argument. Overall, a terrible experience — I strongly recommend finding another place
“Beautiful Location”
Beautiful Location. Comfortable Rooms, 5 Mins drive to city, Nice Staff
My experience at this accommodation was extremely disappointing and does not match the photos shown on Booking at all. The terrace they advertise is not private; all the rooms open onto the same exterior corridor, which is in very poor condition and has no roofing. The room itself is tiny, not soundproofed whatsoever, and has a glass door that lets in every bit of noise. It was freezing cold inside and there wasn’t even a proper blanket to keep warm. To make things worse, the owner started making noise from 6:30 a.m., dragging chairs and tables in the restaurant located right above the rooms. We understand that guests may have breakfast, but the level of noise was absolutely unacceptable. What really crossed the line was the owner coming to knock on our door at 8:00 a.m., telling us we had to leave, even though the check-out time stated on Booking is 11:30 a.m. This behaviour felt completely unprofessional and disrespectful. In short, this accommodation does not deliver what it promises — it’s uncomfortable, noisy, and the attitude of the owner is far from acceptable. I do not recommend it at all
