A beautiful, elegant place with friendly staff, a very good restaurant, and decent parking. We’ll definitely come back.

Parking was available. I was very disappointed with my stay. The sound insulation is extremely poor, and the hotel is very noisy. You can constantly hear noise coming from downstairs and the hallway, as well as traffic from the nearby street. The bathroom also floods every time you take a shower, with water spreading all the way to the edge of the room. Room cleaning and towel changes are not provided automatically and are only done upon request. The breakfast was also extremely poor, with very limited options. Overall, the experience was well below my expectations.

The staff were friendly, especially the lady at the restaurant on the evening of our arrival. The next morning at breakfast, a different lady was not unfriendly but rather cool. The food in the restaurant was also very tasty. At the table, both in the evening restaurant and the next morning breakfast, there was a kind of partially rolled cloth at every seat that was rolled out over the edge of the table. I suspect it was meant as a placemat, but it was impractical; a regular placemat would have been better. Those cloths had been used several times, as they had stains from previous users. Also, there were no normal napkins: no fabric, no paper. We were given a folded piece of kitchen roll instead. Given the décor and the price range of the restaurant, at least normal paper napkins should have been provided. The same table setting appeared at breakfast: the rolled placemat and the kitchen roll napkins. The breakfast itself was typical Romanian style, which feels odd to foreigners: no buffet, no variety of bread, just pieces of white bread that were not very fresh (quite dry) in a basket with a (fabric!) napkin on top. Then we had to choose from the menu which type of egg breakfast (I believe there were four different ones). No other options were available, so no yoghurt, cheeses, meats, fruit juices, fruit pieces… and one coffee or tea per person. In short, what we got was tasty (except for the rather dry bread), but not a breakfast worth writing home about.
