“Lovely, comfortable hotel in a great location.”
We stayed in an apartment on the top floor and the view of the town and Edersee was amazing. Breakfast was tasty and the hotel had a charming vibe. The apartment itself was super comfortable, with a lovely balcony that had comfy furniture, and the on‑site parking was right next to it. It was great to have EV charging on site. There were walking trails that started right from the hotel grounds. One of the highlights was walking from the hotel through the woods to Waldeck Castle and back the same way – something you don’t see everywhere. The kitchen was fully equipped with pots, pans and dishes, though the spice selection was a bit limited. On the downside, the stairs from the car park to the building were steep, and there was another steep set of stairs to reach the apartment. The shower lacked a shelf for soap and shampoo, and the TV was tiny and positioned far from the sofa, making it impossible to watch; we ended up using our laptop for movies instead.
