“Fading glory”
The location was very convenient for the town, but the hotel was tired and worn and was set to close next week because of a change of ownership and refurbishment, and the bar was shut at 5 pm on Sunday.

A cozy village inn with warm staff in a lovely village, offering great value for the price. Nothing to complain about; it’s not the Ritz, but for what you get, it’s amazing.

Breakfast was excellent, the room was cute though a bit 'tired', linens and towels were clean, and the staff were super helpful, even putting our bikes in their bin storage. The evening meal was good and the room had plenty of plug sockets. However, breakfast service was VERY slow, with only one person taking orders and seeming a bit harassed. The coffee machine wasn’t working, so we had to wait a long time for a morning drink, and one kettle socket didn’t work, though there were plenty of others.

Located centrally in a nice town with interesting, friendly local customers. It’s well past its best.
