“New Linden Hotel”
The location was great and the room had good amenities, but the staff weren’t particularly friendly and the room felt a bit smaller than I had expected.

I arrived at The New Linden Hotel after receiving confirmation of my booking, only to be told that a supposed hack of the booking system had erased my reservation. We were in London after 8 pm with no place to stay after a long train journey. They printed a list of reservations for my arrival date, so they had a duty of care to inform me as soon as they discovered the alleged “hacking.” I would not recommend this hotel because, although rooms were available, we were offered one at five times the rate of our original booking. We ended up having to go to another hotel a short walk away, where the staff were far more professional, wore proper uniforms, and had a proper check‑in counter.

Nothing good, because we couldn’t use the room at all. Everything was a problem because our room was unavailable.

The location and price were fine, overall the staff were friendly but uninterested. Twice in the morning the housekeeping team knocked loudly on the 8th and 9th; on the first day, some towels were not in good condition. Breakfast was missing, probably because it was off‑season, and might be available again in December, which felt a bit odd. However, there were plenty of options nearby, so it wasn’t disastrous.

The location was excellent, the area was quiet and well connected by two metro stops, but the experience was disappointing. The staff were not welcoming, the room was tiny with insufficient space to put backpacks or personal items, and the cleanliness was only the bare minimum. The bathroom was dark and the sink was uncomfortable, making it impossible to even place toothbrushes. For a four‑star hotel, you’d expect a different level of service and experience.
