Mylène and her husband gave a great welcome, the accommodation felt independent and spacious, and the scenery and quiet were perfect.

The place sits in Jurançon, a wine region far from city centers, making it ideal for a relaxed rural getaway. Breakfast featured sweet homemade treats, and we could request dinner. Our kids had a blast with the Pitú dog, the zip line, trampoline, and running freely around the house’s surroundings. The room was huge and we even had a fridge for our groceries. It would have been nice to know French better so we could have communicated more smoothly with the hosts.

This was one of our favorite stops on our South of France trip, offering an authentic Béarn experience. Jean Paul and Mylène greeted us like family, served us a delicious meal and wine they made, and we sat under the stars on the table surrounded by beautiful pastures and countryside, chatting with the hosts and other travelers staying on their farm. Breakfast was lovely, with homemade bread, jams, and fresh fruit. The extreme hospitality, generosity, natural beauty, and lively conversation made it a highlight of our vacation; we only regret that we stayed just one night.

The isolated high‑altitude location amid vineyards and surrounded by animals was wonderful. The hosts were kind and the conversations about agriculture and Béarn history were enriching. The fireplace and local products were delightful. The rain took away our view of the Pyrenees, which was a disappointment.
