“Überwiegend enttäuschend”
The contact with the landlord was friendly; he wasn’t on site but reachable. The house’s location, close to the lake 10 min on foot, and the quiet (no street noise) right in nature were positives. What bothered us was the landlord’s impression that he regularly uses this house with his family and only rents it out occasionally, which isn’t true. It seems this house is just one of several he rents out and isn’t well maintained. The condition of the house doesn’t match the high price: it was dirty, aged, and had several defects that negatively affected living quality. The stale smell in the house couldn’t be eliminated even with a lot of ventilation; we had to wash all our clothes to remove it. Urgent repairs are needed. The pillows urgently need replacement—they’re a nuisance. Cutlery and plates were sticky and dirty. In the bathroom, around the sink and the wall next to it, there were old toothpaste residues and other grime. Before the bathroom door, every time I felt like I would sink into the floor and break through. I only weigh 88 kg! The three steps from the lawn to the terrace were uneven and wobbly. Initially, it felt unsafe to enter the terrace because it sagged. It was very acclimatization‑heavy. The outdoor furniture was partially broken and looked mismatched, usable only partially. There was only one lounge chair, missing a protective cover on the armrest. The Wi‑Fi was supposedly available in all rooms, but that wasn’t true, so we had to use our own network and hotspot. The windows and doors jammed at times. The service was impossible for my wife. The bathroom door, as shown in the photo, was dirty, worn, and patched. The only bright spot was the new, flawless roof window in the kitchen area.
