It’s within walking distance of the pyramids, the rooms are spacious—perfect for a family—and clean, even with a private courtyard. You’ll get good value for the money, though don’t expect European standards; you’ll actually see a real slice of Egyptian family life. Why not spend at least a full day at the nearby Grand Egypt Museum instead of just the pyramids? There’s a lot more to explore. The only downside is the way up to the apartment could be cleaner, but that’s just Egypt.

The hosts are wonderful, honest, and hardworking, and they really did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. The apartment looks exactly like the pictures, fully equipped for a longer stay. We’re already planning to return in April and will definitely book again if it’s available.

The family is kind, very available, and caring. The proximity to the pyramids and the nighttime calm are great. The bathtub is worn out.

The owner is fantastic. We stayed in a homestay that has a living room and a kitchen; the kitchen utensils are complete, the best I’ve ever seen.

The owner is very friendly and asked what we needed, very enthusiastic. At checkout he brought us downstairs, helped call an online taxi, and after we boarded it, the ride was smooth and there was no extra charge. Breakfast was Egyptian-style, the room was spacious and clean. It’s close to the east gate of the pyramids, so you can walk there.
