The hotel sits perfectly in the city centre, and its garden feels like a peaceful oasis. It’s a shame there are no restaurants on site; we would have liked that.

The property was beautiful and the bedding comfy, but the rooms needed a facelift. The jute floor was worn, the wall paint was flaking, and the thresholds weren't secured—shower heads would need replacement. It’s a pity because the place is gorgeous with direct access to the city centre, yet it lacks upkeep; the pool and outdoor furniture are neglected. Still, there’s a lot of potential, plus the parking and location are convenient.

I had stayed there last year and it was great—lovely spot close to town. This Sunday afternoon, the hotel was empty, so we couldn’t even enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace. Initially we were told breakfast would be available in the hotel, but later we learned we’d have to go to town for that too.

The place was very quiet, the location was excellent, and the room was comfortable. The reception, however, is at a sister hotel five minutes away in town, which is confusing. Breakfast is also served there if you go.
