“Splendid”
Everything! There’s was no fault at all anywhere. The staff, the location, cleanliness and comfortableness of the hotel and its facilities to the food and service received. I had a splendid time indeed!. Nothing!

Breakfast was excellent, with a good selection and high quality.

I liked the Marriot‑style vibe and the room itself. The iron was dirty, and when I went out at night my shirt got soiled.

The welcome was poor; the staff were reluctant to help with my bags even though I was clearly struggling. The bathroom had a drain smell. The food was bland. I was surprised to see an extra parking fee. The bed was uncomfortable, and I had to go to reception to claim my daily free water. Wi‑Fi was nearly impossible to connect to without IT support.

All staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient. The car park was easy to access and parking itself was simple. I appreciated the spacious bathroom in the upgrade. I felt safe traveling alone, and the hotel was busy yet quiet, with no disturbance from other guests. The only issue was the limited room‑service menu—only takeaway‑style items like burgers, pizzas, and fish and chips were available via app or phone to reception. Every meal cost more than the same dish at the bar or restaurant, plus a £5 tray fee. There was no menu in the rooms, so I had to physically go down to the bar to order. I had to queue for a menu, then queue again to place the order and request delivery to my room. It felt far below 4‑star service and catering standards. The room furnishings were tired and dated.
