“Very nice, would stay again.”
All the staff were lovely, very helpful and friendly, and the evening food was very good. It would have been nice if breakfast had been served a bit later, as it finished at 8.30am.

I had a solid experience, nothing to complain about and everything worked as expected.

The spot was perfect for my friend and me to meet, with beautiful scenery and great nature. Sunday lunch was good but could use more veggies, and it was pricey. Breakfast started way too early and we had to set a time, which felt restrictive. When we arrived, the restaurant floor had just been mopped with a strong disinfectant that was off-putting. The food itself was decent, but the service left something to be desired. We were put at a table that wasn’t set, missing juice glasses, salt, and pepper, unlike the neighboring table that was ready. They asked if we wanted tea or coffee, I chose coffee, but they didn’t ask what kind, even though the coffee machine looked impressive. A black coffee arrived and I had to ask for milk. There was no explanation of the continental bar buffet, and we had to request juice glasses. They told us to signal when we wanted to order, which felt odd. When ordering, my friend wanted an English breakfast with some items removed, and she had to repeat the order four times. I asked for brown toast and poached eggs; the waitress had to return three or four times to confirm toast, egg type, and sauces. When the breakfast arrived, my friend joked about the awkwardness of removing items, and the response was “yeah it is a bit awkward.” Another couple had similar issues at the same time. The gentleman received the wrong egg type and, about ten minutes later, when he was almost finished, was told they would give him another egg, which he refused. After breakfast, we headed to check out but the front of the building was locked, so we had to walk around the back. When we handed the key back, I mentioned we had to walk back with it, and it would have been better if they had collected it after breakfast. We were told we could leave the key in the room, but no instructions were given. It’s a shame because we had a lovely stay, but the departure experience let it down.

We were greeted warmly and the room was clean enough for our needs.

The setting was lovely, and I enjoyed looking out onto the fields with the horses. The rooms were clean, had iron, a hairdryer, and even a fan.
