The staff, especially Chan, were exceptional—excellent English, extremely helpful and charming. The view and room met all expectations, and the location was close to good restaurants and the beach, though the beach itself was not great. Road works on the main road were a nuisance, but they will be finished soon and the area will improve.

The reception lady who assisted me on my last day was pleasant and the only reason I didn’t give the place a 1 rating; it’s also near Dong Vui food court. However, my room had many ants and even a spider on my toothbrush. When I asked a staff member for pest spray, he over‑sprayed and I had to change rooms at 1 am; his English was also poor. There is a lot of construction around Dong Vui, so I would advise against staying there.

The decor was pleasant, the beds comfortable, and the single sheet on the beds was a nice touch instead of a quilt. The first room had an air‑conditioning unit outside that could be heard all night, so I switched rooms.
