The building looked old, yet the bathroom in the room seemed newly renovated and very functional. A USB outlet by the pillow was a real help. I had to stay there on short notice because a heavy rain prevented me from returning home, but the convenience store next door let me buy everything I needed.

The subway is nearby and a convenience store is just around the corner, which is handy. I could hear voices from the hallway into my room, but nothing came from the room next to mine, and street noise was almost nonexistent—so it was very quiet and comfortable. I added breakfast, and because Japanese and Western dishes were served in separate areas, it wasn’t too crowded. The air‑conditioning only had an off or a four‑stage on setting, so I couldn’t choose between cooling and heating.
