From the first moment, our stay at Sunset Maida was exceptional. We were greeted with a tasty Brasiliana drink and instantly felt like friends, not just guests. The two brothers took time to explain everything personally and were always available whenever we needed advice or help. Little touches made a huge difference: bread with their own olive oil, top recommendations for local restaurants, places to visit, and especially their extraordinary warmth, kindness and genuine hospitality. As a former flight attendant who’s stayed in thousands of hotels worldwide, I can truly say I’ve rarely, if ever, experienced this level of personal attention and hospitality. Nothing felt forced or commercial; everything came from the heart. The accommodation itself was beautiful, comfortable, and impeccably cared for, but what truly makes Sunset Maida unforgettable are the people behind it. They turned a simple stay into one of the highlights of our trip through Italy. Absolutely outstanding in every possible way. Nothing negative—just perfect.

The location in a small Calabrian town lets you see how locals live. It’s 20 minutes from the airport and parking was no issue. The apartment was clean, everything new and fresh. The owners welcomed us warmly, showed us everything, explained it all, and recommended interesting spots beyond the usual Calabrian sights. Throughout our stay we stayed in constant contact with them. They even offered an extra breakfast at a nearby café. Highly recommended! We’ll definitely return!
