They claimed no room was available even though they had already accepted the booking, refunded the money, and I had to scramble to find another hotel in the middle of the night.

The location was fine and there were enough parking spots, and the mattress was decent—that’s about all the positives I can mention. When I arrived at 22 o’clock the front desk discovered the room’s light wasn’t working and suggested I cancel my reservation, basically telling me to use my phone’s light; that’s hardly service. I asked for a lamp, but they didn’t think of bringing one, so I had to find a large daylight lamp myself. The room itself was terrible: no shelves or hooks for clothes, and I had to endure drunken Ukrainian women shouting until midnight. The shower drain was faulty, filling up in minutes and threatening to overflow. I paid €45 for the night, which was €30 too much; it couldn’t have been cheaper. I will never return.

The host tried to be helpful, but that didn’t solve anything. The bathroom was covered in mold, the furniture was unstable and musty, and the room I booked wasn’t even available because they were mid‑renovation, leading to a two‑hour check‑in and room change. There was no internet, the towels and pillows were damp, insects and other creepy‑crawlies were everywhere, and an unannounced visitor showed up at night. Numerous cameras were installed throughout the building without any explanation of what they were recording.

I’m glad it was only one night. Even though they attempted renovations, the rooms were still only partially furnished with old furniture. There were missing seating options, trash cans, soap, etc. The mattresses on the beds were some 8‑10 cm thick (child‑size) foam mats. It was a maze of doors and almost an adventure to find the shared toilet.
