The rooms are charming, very English‑style, and the hotel feels like a genuine romantic country inn. With around 10 rooms, a lovely pool, a wonderfully enchanted estate, and far from anything else, it’s a peaceful retreat. Breakfast was decent, a French petit‑déjeuner but you could order anything extra. Dinner was mostly excellent and the atmosphere was wonderful. Laundry could be done for the next day. A potential drawback for some might be accessibility—without a car it’s tough to get there. On the last evening the chef was somehow absent and the staff had to reheat the food, which fell short of the hotel’s standards. We also underestimated the distances; driving about 30 km takes roughly an hour because the roads are narrow, the area is beautiful but you’ll be on the road a lot.
