Peaceful, nice food

The staff are charming and the villas sit perfectly amid the rice paddies. There’s hardly any tourist activity and no scooter rentals available.

The place looks lovely, but it’s not really a tourist spot – we only realized that when we arrived in Asmaraloka. The surrounding scenery is beautiful, yet there’s no Grab or Gojek service and no scooter rentals, so aside from a few pleasant walks on foot, nothing else can be arranged. The kitchen didn’t appeal to us. If you want decent food nearby, try “black dew.” The staff didn’t speak English but were very welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. With Google Translate, Jofandi lent us his scooter for a day, and Micael arranged a ride to the station with a friend; otherwise we’d still be stuck there. The reception team were exceptional, doing everything possible to keep us happy, while the contacts provided by Booking (presumably the owners) were nonexistent the whole time. Thanks to the Asmaraloka guys.

완전산골. 시내.산.하늘.별.새들. 넓은방 The room lacked a fridge, so we used the restaurant’s fridge and kept getting ice from the restaurant continuously.

A stunning, spacious bungalow set in a gorgeous rice‑paddy landscape with views of two volcanoes. Breakfast was decent and delivered to the room. A fantastic place to sleep! Dine at Gartenhütte. Kaffee is nearby and excellent! No issues, no hesitation.
