The girls were lovely at both check‑in and check‑out, friendly and helped me get to my excursion on time. The room was huge, with two bathrooms, making it comfortable for everyone. The best part is the location: close enough to party and back, yet quiet enough to sleep without hearing the noise.

It was quiet, just two other guests. However, a stench came from the drains beside the street in the morning and afternoon, and water didn’t always flow in the bathroom, so I had to use the stocked water in the huge bucket.

The staff were nice. At check‑in they gave me a water bottle, there was a water server and coffee, and towels were provided. Unfortunately, the water was cut off so I couldn’t take a shower. I chose this place because it had a washing machine, but due to the water outage I was told to go to a nearby laundry service, and there was no freely accessible machine on the premises. The pillow smelled bad.

The cleaning was impeccable! The only issue was the cold that other guests brought in, but that had nothing to do with the hostel itself, just the other guests.

The beds were reasonably comfy and the price was cheap enough. The door to the room opens onto the street and it stunk terribly outside. Be careful when booking this property because there are two hostels called Hangover in Koh Phi Phi.
