We arrived only to learn that they had double‑booked us. They use a paper reservation system in addition to their online one, and it seems they never verify bookings. We were forced to find another place to stay.

The location was good.

The twin beds in the deluxe room were too close together, which made it unacceptable for two adults. When I mentioned it to the staff, they said I could leave if I didn’t like it.

I had to cancel my stay because the previous guest had damaged the shower; please refund me.

The place is great, close to the main motorways and Selby town centre, the bed is comfortable, and the hosts are lovely. Comus Inn serves excellent Greek food. The downside is that the room is too near the main road, so traffic noise was loud all night when the window was open, the room heated up and ventilation was poor, and the cleaning could be better overall.
