The peace and quiet were great. Juan is an excellent host, attentive and very friendly, so we’ll definitely come back. The only issue was the many flies in the patio; bring several fly‑repellent rolls or something to keep them away.

The place was spotless, nothing was missing, and Juan treated us wonderfully; when we went to Priego he gave us tips and even asked if we’d found a restaurant for lunch, offering to let us eat there despite our 12 pm departure, and although we didn’t end up using it he still said it was fine—his constant checking and calls while we were at a wedding were a real plus, many thanks Juan. Everything else was fine.

The host Juan was very attentive, waiting to greet us and even showing us where to eat in the village, which only has two bars. He also set up a cozy fireplace, and the next day he lit it again because we struggled to start the fire. The rural house offers all the expected comforts. The only downside was the relentless wind that rattled the curtains and exterior blinds, making it hard to sleep, though that’s just a strange local weather pattern.

Juan, the owner, is a wonderful person who attends to every possible need. The cortijo is immaculate, very comfortable, and the outdoor areas are spacious and pleasant. I will definitely return as soon as I can.
