How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The location suited my purpose, and the room was clean. However, the room felt dated and could use a renovation. The shower cabin was in poor condition: it didn’t close properly, leaving a gap between the doors, and the guide rail for the doors was also broken.

The hotel is rather basic, but everything works, the location is excellent, and everything was clean. You have to be prepared for the reception to be closed between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m., so you can’t check in unless you arrange something beforehand. For the price, it’s great that everything was clean and quiet. I didn’t expect elaborate interior design. The fact that I could only check in after 4 p.m. was a bit annoying, but perhaps my mistake. It’s a simple hotel, but clean and good.

There was nothing positive to mention. The décor and overall impression were dated, it was noisy (the elevator is catastrophic every time it opens), and the breakfast was not good.

The hotel sits close to the center, the most beautiful part of Lyon. The noise from the hotel was unbearable—especially from the two establishments at the bottom of the building that host guests on the terrace, though the noise stops in the evening. In my room, the source of the noise seemed to be the ventilation system, or perhaps there isn’t one, and our nights were disrupted.

The staff were friendly and the central location was convenient. Yet the list of issues is long: parking isn’t included in the price (I was told after booking that an extra 12 euros was required and the parking is two streets away), there was a cigarette smell upon arrival, the room had two single beds instead of the advertised double, the equipment was outdated, and most of all the shower lacked proper drainage—when I showered, water spilled out of the basin and into the room, forcing me to mop it myself.
