The location is very peaceful in the middle of a farm, with a large, well‑equipped community kitchen—perfect for those who’ve done the Golden Circle and are heading north to Diamond Beach, since you can make a quick, non‑fatiguing round trip. The bedding wasn’t up to my taste; better quality would be nice.

The room is clean, purposefully furnished, and the integrated bathroom is surprisingly roomy. There’s a big common area and a simple kitchen that many people use at once, but everything needed is there. The front and back of the house are quiet idylls: sheep, horses, a river, mountains on the horizon, and at night you can see the aurora without obstruction. It’s a solid starting point for our trip to Landmannalaugar.
