Nice room with garden views. The casual bar on the first floor had couches and a patio to relax on. The people were very friendly. Breakfast was only okay, but the setting was great, so I didn’t mind.

Perfectly situated in old Bennington in a lovely historic neighborhood set back from the road, so there’s no noise. The grounds are beautifully kept and the house is an exceptional example of New England style architecture. Everything was to our approval and pleasure!

The location is perfect for exploring Bennington’s museums, monuments, covered bridges, and nearby restaurants. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help. Breakfast portions were generous and tasty, and I heard another guest say she had too much food! (Breakfast is included with your stay.) The brick walkway needs fixing because it’s uneven, and the fountain area could use better seating. More seats near the pond and fountain would let guests enjoy the beautiful grounds. The TV in the King Carriage room was disappointing.

The inn was charming, historic, and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were very nice and the location was great. There weren’t many outdoor spots to sit at night or during the day, the room had no refrigerator, the TV was tiny, and there were no outlets in the bathroom.
