The hotel was close to the event venue I came for, and a couple of restaurants were nearby. It’s about a 12‑minute drive from YYC. The first reception staff refused to give me an upper‑floor room as I requested, even though they had plenty available, and I was assigned a ground‑floor room which I declined. A second front desk helped me, while the first kept me waiting at reception for no reason.

The room was spacious, the airport shuttle ran smoothly, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The only downside was that pets were allowed, so a crying dog stayed nearby for a while, which was annoying.

We booked the accommodation for four people (a double bed and a sofa bed), but only three sleeping places were actually set up – the sofa could only make one bed, and we only discovered this late in the evening.
