Hotel Angleterre

The location is great for visiting Caen, and pre‑booked paid parking was convenient. The receptionist was very helpful, the breakfast was nice, and the shutters on the windows let in a good breeze while the windows were open. The hotel offers good value, and I enjoyed the sound of the tram outside and a very good restaurant nearby. A word of warning: the shower area is very snug, and the lift can only take 2‑3 people, which isn’t ideal if you’re claustrophobic or can’t use stairs. We were okay with those quirks, but it’s better to be forewarned. Overall, a great hotel for a short stay in a handy location when visiting Caen.
