The resort had a great layout with a beautiful sea view and a dreamy pool area. Even in October, there were many sports and activities. The water park was superb for kids and teens, and the value for money was very good. The hotel is clearly aging; maintaining such a large complex is difficult. The food was varied and had something for everyone, but it was rarely hot, which is a challenge for all buffet‑style venues.

We paid €1,635.92 for four nights in a Superior Bungalow Sea View, but left after the first night. We arrived at 2 a.m. with a 5‑month‑old baby to find a room without electricity, unbearable heat, and a strong damp/mould smell. Electricity was temporarily restored, only to fail twice more that night. I was shown how to reset the panel myself, which it did again. In daylight the room was worse: extensive rust on metal surfaces and bathroom fittings, deteriorated furniture, peeling paint, damp‑damaged walls, an appalling bathroom, and exposed wiring in sockets. This was supposed to cost over €400 per night. We complained at reception first thing in the morning and waited hours for an alternative room. The replacement was slightly better but still had rust and damp. It was not suitable for a 5‑month‑old baby. The “solution” was to move us to the neighboring Mandola Rosa at a substantial extra cost. We were first told the difference would be €300, only to find the extra charge would be about €900. After speaking with management, this was reduced to €250 extra per night. We then packed up and left. Despite many emails and complaints, the hotel refused to refund the three nights we didn’t use. The only compensation was €286.29, not from the hotel. A non‑refundable rate should not justify charging a guest for three unused nights after reporting serious maintenance and safety issues and giving the hotel multiple chances to offer an acceptable solution. The photos speak for themselves.

The location is beautiful, but the infrastructure is very old and needs urgent renovation. The pool cleanliness is lacking, and tables at breakfast and dinner are barely cleaned, leaving remnants from previous guests on the placemats. The sewage system seems to be a bigger issue, and some of the odors are unpleasant.
