“Had a very bad back, from very bad bed mattress, they should update the mattress,”

The hot tub was a highlight and the shower was hot, though the shower head was dirty, had some limescale and black mould. The pans were filthy, the mattress had a dent, and our backs weren’t great all week; the mattress topper was still dirty. There were too many fake plants that gathered dust. I don’t think £1050 for a week is worth it. The washing machine was awful – it didn’t spin well, we had to move it into an open drawer and put detergent there, yet our clothes stayed wet. Overall, a bad experience. No photos of the pans.

“Disappointing”

Location. Beautiful views. Saw deers hares and rabbits. Peaceful. Dirty chair around island in kitchen. Dirty pots and pans. Both bathrooms Dirty. Shower wire under tap disgusting. Loose toilet seats. Dirty chairs in living room. Smelt dirty and foisty. Unable to open drawer in washing machine as too near wall. Ordered online delivery, was assured they would be able to gain entry but yet driver had problems and had to contact me. Ordered a takeaway, again, unable to gain entry, causing annoyance and frustration with myself and my 80 year old Mum. I was then informed no access after 6pm - my Mum and I did not have transport as my husband brought us. Which, we were charged for 3 people staying but in actual fact was only 2 people. My Mum and I wanted to hire a bike. I called after lunch to enquire as as usual was left having to leave a voicemail. Staff very difficult to make contact with. They eventually called me back 3.5 hours later but by then was too late to hire a bike. As we were pulling out of the parking area a staff member angrily raised his hands and said 10 with his hands up. We already knew this and was turning the corner at the time so was definitely only 10 mph and how the hell would he know if it was 9 10 or 11 mph. Very rude man! We won't be returning

The woodland setting was lovely, the site was well maintained, information was clear, and everyone was helpful and friendly.

The natural surroundings were beautiful, and there were great routes for walking and cycling; it was very peaceful.

Everything was perfect: the location was ideal and we could bring our dog, making it a flawless family getaway.
