The property was very nice, but the elevators were problematic; I had trouble getting into my room at first because the key didn’t work, I wish there was room service, and I had to call more than once for an iron to iron my clothes, and there was no iron board.

Its location was convenient and it was spacious with nice amenities, yet cleaning was hard to get and there was no simple way to obtain more supplies on your own.

Joelyn was genuinely helpful, professional and kind throughout my stay. She was one of the few members of staff who made an effort to help and communicate properly when there were problems. The location was also very convenient. The management response to a serious overnight security incident was appalling. I was kept awake from around 2:00am until 4:30am after a man was allowed onto the guest floor and repeatedly banged on another guest’s door. I still do not understand how he was permitted upstairs or why reception apparently directed him to the room without proper verification. What concerned me most was the safety of the woman inside that room. I do not know the circumstances between them, but that is precisely why hotel security procedures matter. The hotel initially acknowledged that the incident was unacceptable and said it was being investigated, but the management response afterwards was extremely poor. I was given conflicting information about another room and a late checkout despite having an overnight flight and almost no sleep. Eros in particular was dismissive and unhelpful. His messages focused on housekeeping schedules and the fact that I no longer had an active reservation rather than the seriousness of what had happened and the impact it had on me. To then receive a message asking me for a 5-star review, explaining that lower ratings cause problems for the property, while my complaint was still unresolved, was astonishing. Joelyn was helpful, but the management handling of the incident was unacceptable

The room was very spacious with cool décor and nice views of the downtown skyline, and the location was perfect, just a few steps from the metro and close to many points of interest in Manhattan and Brooklyn; however, there was no daily cleaning despite having requested it, the two ACs in the room couldn’t be repaired by maintenance, though a supplementary fan was provided which was fine since it wasn’t too hot or humid this time of year, and some daily towel replacements would have met the expectations of a “5‑star” hotel as described on the Booking site.
