The breakfast was fantastic—different from the European style but very good, varied, and plentiful, with impressive views while eating. There was nothing we didn’t like.

The location was great, right in the center of town and at the end of Vale do Paul, and the rooms were lovely with a balcony overlooking the green courtyard. The barking of dogs was sometimes disruptive to sleep.

The hotel sat in a courtyard that doubled as a papaya/banana garden, and there was also a communal terrace. Our host was incredibly warm and offered plenty of useful tips; we could reach out to her or her son (who spoke better English) with any request. It was just a nice place! The room only had a fan, so it got pretty hot at times.
