The place is a short walk from two stations and easy to reach Nikko proper, with a Family Mart next door and several nearby restaurants. The beds are small but comfortable, and the host communicated well. We booked the entire space, so we expected all rooms and beds to be set up, but they weren’t. The property feels dated and could have been cleaner. There’s a washing machine but no dryer or place to hang clothes, and someone else’s laundry was hanging outside. The bath is there, but the instructions say not to use it for spreading Covid? Only a mirror in the hallway with no lighting, or in the bathroom, so it’s tricky for a large group to get ready at the same time.

The location is unbeatable, right next to a convenience store and close to the downtown area. The rooms were clean, and there were plenty of cups and other supplies, so even with a large group we had a very comfortable stay.

The room was spacious and spotless, and the convenience of a nearby convenience store—right next door—made it incredibly handy. Parking was available, which made it perfect for a group trip, and cooking in the kitchen gave us a fun way to spend our time.
