How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The staff was always friendly everywhere, and the food tasted great. The ship feels very old and needs a complete overhaul; the air on the Nile is almost always overrun by diesel fumes from the boats, and the plastic lawn on the sun decks is just awful.

During the trip from Luxor to Aswan we had a cabin on the right side, which offers a better view. The cabins are spacious enough and the windows can be opened. The restaurant and room‑service staff are very courteous. However, only two of the four days were actually sailed. In Luxor we had a ship with a loud, stinky diesel engine next to us all night. The front desk staff were only moderately friendly. On the first day we were asked if anyone had food allergies or was vegetarian, but for the rest of the four days no information was given about which buffet dishes were vegetarian.

This review might be a bit misleading because we didn’t travel on the Regency; Steigenberger transferred us to the Jaz Viceroy and upgraded us to a suite. That made our stay wonderful, but we don’t know what the Regency would have been like. Drinks were quite expensive.
