Everything was great for us: a nice pub, good food, good breakfast, and cozy rooms; the downside was the heavily trafficked street, which was loud with the windows open.

The rooms were really comfortable and spacious, the owner and staff were friendly, and the bar was great; the location is convenient for the sea, town centre, and the Donkey Sanctuary, but the constant all‑night traffic noise is distracting—perhaps rooms at the back are better.

We stayed two nights during a Southwest hiking holiday and were pleasantly surprised by the experience and Sam’s attentiveness; the rooms were well equipped, the two dinners and breakfast were excellent, but the Wi‑Fi was spotty and management assured us they were aware of the issue.
