The room was nice, the food and drinks were exceptional, and the pool and sauna were lovely, quiet, and relaxing; the wet room could use a bit of an overhaul, and the corridor from reception to the restaurant needs fresh air freshener because that one room smells a little damp as you walk through it—otherwise the whole experience was lovely and I’ll definitely return. The staff are very friendly, and the breakfast set‑up was really good; I can’t wait to go again. The only downside was that the adjoining room from reception to the bar area smelled a bit musty and the toilets behind the bar had a smell.

The staff were brilliant and the breakfast lovely, but we had problems with our first room and were moved. The rooms feel dated and old, though the hotel is being renovated and the kids’ rooms are lovely. Cobwebs were in our room, the sink was broken, and a terrible smell from the drainage hit the bathroom/bedroom area. The room wasn’t very clean, and they handed our key to someone else who entered our room—fortunately I knew them, but it felt like a security issue.
