Good evening, I booked two nights at this hostel. Upon arrival at the address listed on the booking, Hostel Maria was nowhere to be found. I called the number provided, and a man in his 60s answered; I told him I had arrived and wanted to check in. He asked where I was, so I sent a photo. He said he would come in 10 minutes, but after a while he called again and asked where I was. I repeated the photo location, the one shown on the booking, but he said he didn’t know where that was. I asked for a precise address, and he said he didn’t know the address either. I asked again for the name, and he gave a completely different name. I asked why the location data didn’t match, and he said he knew nothing. He told me to just drive there. Looking at the map, it turns out it’s not in Sutomore but 2.4 km from the hostel’s listed spot. He suggested I call a taxi and come myself. I told him I had booked this place because it’s convenient to the train station and I had large, heavy luggage. He said I could just not come. I said I would arrive in an hour. After that, I got internet from locals and found the location: 2.4 km, 3 bags weighing 50 kg, 1 hour drive. Taxi costs weren’t in my budget, plus it’s far and physically hard. The place was on a nice hill; climbing the hill with my suitcases took 25 minutes. Locals didn’t help, they just walked by and looked. When I asked for help, they hesitated. When I finally got there, I saw a man over 70 on the first floor balcony drinking. He looked fine. I approached and asked about reservations; he asked for my name, looked at some papers, and said I wasn’t there. I showed him my folder with documents and printed reservations for two days. I explained they were confirmed and booked two weeks ago.

Great spot right in Sutomore’s centre, just a 3‑minute walk to the main beach. More secluded coves are about a 15‑minute stroll. Supermarkets nearby stay open until 21:00. Cats roam outside and like to mingle.
