Breakfast was awful; there were no eggs. I wouldn’t say it was clean, and the staff were not particularly courteous.

The only positive was the gas station below the hill. Vending machines didn’t work, the pool and hot tub were closed, and the heater in our room was broken—door handles were falling off. The pheasant cleaning facility had only scalding hot water; no cold water option made it useless. Drunk staff members passed out in the hallway and left beer everywhere. We reported it, but the staff refused to compensate us at all.

The bed in room 246 and the linens were very comfortable, and the A/C heater stayed on steadily. The river view was nice when the fog cleared. Mold was present on the lower level, and overall cleanliness was lacking. Breakfast was questionable: biscuits were hard, gravy thin and watery, sausage patties cold and unappealing, coffee tasted stale after using the same grounds five times. We tried to make a waffle, but the batter was watered down, so it stuck and we had to pick it apart. We gave up and left, feeling that the management cared little about the “so‑called breakfast” and other issues.

The spot’s nice and the location’s great, and the staff were really friendly. Breakfast was just biscuits and gravy and a few other items; the biscuits were hard and the gravy tasted like flour.

They served cappuccino and the front desk was welcoming at check‑in, and our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was questionable: biscuits and gravy were cold, the biscuits were hard, and there was little variety. The hallways smelled awful, and the pool we booked for the hot tub was shut down. We confirmed with the hotel that it should have been open, but the pool area was closed, roaches were on the bathroom floors, the hot tub had no water and a wooden board over it, and a leak from the roof made the smell horrible. When we asked about availability and a late check‑in for after 11 pm, we were told nothing else was available; we’d already driven 14 hours and had no choice, so I should have disputed the charge. The morning desk clerk was not friendly or helpful at all.
