I really liked the staff at the reception, restaurant, pool, housekeeping, grounds, and security – everyone was friendly, helpful, and supportive. I especially want to highlight the restaurant staff, Camila and Renuka, though I couldn’t remember all their names. The food was very good and varied. The grounds and rooms were clean, and no outsiders were allowed. Shops and many local attractions were within walking distance. During the rainy season, sewage from a canal flows into the ocean, so you have to turn right; the pool saves the day.

“It was decent for the price you pay but there can be improvements made.”

The breakfast didn’t justify getting out of bed, but the dinner in the evening was much better. The bathroom was in a terrible state: it was old, parts were rotting with mold and rust, and it was infested with ants and spiders. The fourth floor was under construction, so the noise made it impossible to choose when to get out of bed. The spa cost four to five times more than any other on the street, and the massage therapist spent all day standing at reception trying to attract customers. I felt sorry for her because the hotel was overcharging and nobody used the service.

The beachfront was beautiful, the pool view was stunning, and the buffet spread was amazing. It was a truly wonderful and relaxing experience that I highly recommend.
