“The owners are really sweet and friendly!!! Definitely stay again”
It’s really quiet with little foot traffic. I wish the pool was open!

The location was perfect for our softball tournament, but the place looked nothing like the photos. It seemed abandoned, the pool was broken, there was no laundry area or ice machine, and the air‑conditioning was barely working, which was inconvenient after a full day at the fields. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable enough, but roaches crawled up and down the walls.

I didn’t like anything about this hotel; the health department and authorities should shut it down and the Better Business Bureau must be contacted immediately. My husband, who has cancer, and I flew from Fort Lauderdale to Bartow for a family funeral. When he first booked, it was supposed to be a king‑size bed, but upon arrival the owner told us the room had plumbing issues and moved us into a room with two double beds. Inside, we found lizards on the ceiling, hair on and around the toilet (DISGUSTING), a door that was hard to close, and sheets and pillowcases that were dirty, had hair, and looked like they had makeup stains. We slept on top of the comforter and covered it with a throw we brought. In the middle of the night we felt something crawling on us, probably the lizards. People living nearby walked by the rooms, seemed to be on drugs, talked loudly, and played music all night. We didn’t sleep well because of the noise and bugs. The pool had no water, was mildewed, and contained unknown objects. The next morning we went to the office area (no lobby like most hotels) and reported everything to the owner’s wife. She got very mad, told us to leave immediately, offered a late check‑out at 12:00 pm, and gave no compensation or apology. She was VERY RUDE and uncaring. They need to go out of business; this place is not a real hotel and rooms should never be rented out. There is NOTHING superior about this place, and we will definitely choose wisely next time. It really needs to evaluate the hotels listed through them and thoroughly read and evaluate customer reviews because it could have a strong negative effect on their business. Also, consider parting ways with this hotel.

I was forced to switch rooms because my original one had bugs and roaches, and the new room hadn't been cleaned after the previous guests. The place also looked nothing like the photos.

The man at the reception tried to explain that no rooms could be rented because of hurricane damage, but he should have told me earlier. Even after the operator cancelled, the money was still taken from Booking, and the listing remains live on several sites—possible scam.
