Meeting Mates Hostel

I liked the large common area and the kitchen. The location is quite good, and it’s convenient that you can leave your luggage there. The bathrooms could be better organized — instead of separate men’s and women’s bathrooms on the first floor, it would be better to have more separate shower areas. It wasn’t very clean, the walls were peeling, and the beds were very hard. However, it seems to depend on the room, as some beds already have different mattresses. The room itself was quite average, and despite that, the price is quite high, especially on weekends (standards in taipei)

The place was clean, the staff were friendly, and the air‑conditioning worked well. However, the neighborhood around the hostel looks very run‑down and unattractive, you have to walk through the reception to get from your room to the showers, and there are cameras in every room, so you feel a bit watched.

The hostel is close to a 7‑11 and the MRT station. The upper bunk, wardrobe, and bathroom shelf are positioned too high.
