The room was spotless and beautiful, located in a central and quiet spot, perfect for walking to the main attractions. The host is unreachable by any means, doesn’t reply on the chat or by email, and the Wi‑Fi doesn’t work.
“We loved the Jordaan neighborhood, and the view of the canal and street from our suite; the beds are also very comfortab”
I liked the location and the modern design of the suite. Street noise is expected, but the bathroom faucet lever was defective (it kept falling off) and there was no body soap or shampoo in the shower. The kitchen had very little dish soap, and Tessa’s communication was delayed (I had emailed a question before our visit).
“Fantastic location, but cold”
We loved how great the spot was, but the room itself was tiny yet functional, and the fridge was surprisingly roomy. The biggest problem was the cold—windows wouldn’t seal, so a draft kept blowing in, and the street noise never stopped. I asked for a heater, but the owner didn’t reply for two days and didn’t fix anything. The weather got better later, but I wouldn’t stay here in winter. Also, there was no toilet paper, almost no shampoo, and the space was so small you couldn’t fit your clothes. All in all, the unresponsiveness and chill made us doubt whether we were really welcome.
The Jordaan District location is convenient. The room and bathroom were clean, and the bedding was clean and comfortable. It’s a nice experience if you prefer a studio style over a hotel, with enough space for one and a maximum of two people. I’d visit again! The night noise is intense and there is absolutely no soundproofing, but they do provide ear plugs for sleeping. Bring a pair of slippers and toiletries.
The view from the room was great. There was no storage space for clothes, the windows were very poor and let in cold air and noise, and the room was small.
