How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
It was a quiet spot. The sofa was uncomfortable, making the living room unusable. The kitchen had only one knife. The bathroom was moldy, but it was cleaned the next day. The extractor fan didn't work. We couldn't check in a minute earlier than the arrival time, and at check‑out they warned that the cleaning staff could enter after 10:00 without knocking (we arrived early in the morning). Overall, for the price, we found better accommodation in Japan.

The house was new, clean, spacious, and had all the necessary comforts. It’s a 7‑minute walk to the metro and bus stops, in an area with many restaurants. It’s not in a super‑central spot, but getting around is quick and easy.

The house was very clean and very spacious. The location was very quiet, and overall it was a great experience. If you bring a can, be ready to walk 🚶♂️ because a car can’t reach the place.

The apartment sat in a quiet spot near train stations, shops, and restaurants. The narrow stairs were a problem with suitcases, and there was no hanging space in the third bedroom upstairs. The lounge sofa could only seat four people, and the only other seating were four stools. There was nowhere to hang wet towels or clothes to dry. I couldn’t figure out how to plug the kitchen sink for washing dishes.

The house was ideal for two couples. The top floor has two bedrooms, the middle floor has one toilet and the kitchen/living room, and the bottom floor has a bedroom with a shower/laundry area and another toilet. That layout is hard to find in Japan, so it’s great value. It’s about a 10‑minute walk from the station entrance, and the main route goes through a street full of tasty eateries. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Hatagaya hosts many live‑music spots, and it’s a 25‑minute ride to Shimokitazawa, offering endless choices. If you’re into Tokyo’s underground music scene, this is a convenient spot. The location is great for what you’re getting, but if you want to do more central or east‑side Tokyo activities, the daily commute to and from the station and train route can be tiring. If you’re focused on the west side, it’s not really a drawback.
