The riverside location is superb with a fantastic sunset view. The room had no storage options, but Frau Hanuscha and Herr Hiruni were very friendly and caring, and they arranged a second room for us. We also enjoyed a small terrace. The property boasts a large, well‑maintained garden, and the lovely restaurant sits on the river with a dreamy view. A convenient staircase led down to the water, and we bathed there every day. We booked a Safari in the Udawalawa National Park with a Safari car just for us, which turned out to be perfect because we could change the stops as we liked. Our hosts also loaded chairs, a table, and a breakfast picnic onto the car for us. Special thanks to the daughter who helped us with a taxi driver’s difficulties. The location is great, right in the green with a beautiful garden directly on the canal. Monkeys play there and there are many nice seating spots and a hammock. The owners are super sweet and warm, making us feel very comfortable. The food we received was excellent! We even got an extra lunch package for breakfast because the safari started at 5 am. It’s a perfect starting point if you want to go to the national park. The price is unbeatable. The room is simple but very clean and does its job perfectly. Everything you need is there, including a fan. In the evenings we sat on the veranda, and the owner brought us an anti‑mosquito incense stick. Every request was met wonderfully. Highly recommended!

It’s in a lovely quiet spot. Next to the canal where you can sit or lie in a hammock.
