Max organized both our pick‑up and onward travel—everything ran smoothly! The meals cooked by Max’s mother were all super tasty. The highlight was the safari Max arranged; his driver/guide knew a lot about wildlife, was very friendly, and showed us many wonderful sights. His 26 years of experience paid off—he knows the park and its animals inside out and treats everyone respectfully. That day will stay with us for many years. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

You’ll get everything you need if you want to visit the zoo—food, drinks, transport, and a zoo visit. The hotel owner works smartly to provide all that. The entire staff was friendly and kind.

“Fantastisch verblijf!”

The pick‑up and safari were organized through the hotel, and the prices were very reasonable. The hotel is a bit farther from the centre, but they have a lovely restaurant right next to them, and the food is the best I've had so far. Nothing else to complain about.

“Inmejorable experiencia”

I feel a 10 isn’t enough for this place; I’d give it a 100 if I could. The hotel room was among the best we stayed in Sri Lanka, at a very low price. I really appreciated that the bathroom had a ceiling, which isn’t common in Udawalawe. Max made sure our stay was perfect. He offered us a genuine homemade Sri Lankan dinner that was exquisite. He arranged a private safari for the two of us at a very reasonable price. The guide Asa was very professional and gave us an unforgettable experience where we saw many elephants. After the safari, we were greeted with a delicious breakfast at the hotel and even offered a refreshing drink in the pool. Finally, Max arranged a direct taxi from his hotel to our next destination in Ella. An unbeatable experience—I recommend it 100%.
