Rupakot Resort

The food was mediocre and the breakfast spread was passable. There were several power cuts, which the staff said were normal during the rainy season, yet no emergency lights or even a torch were provided. When we repeatedly requested a candle or torch, the reception gave vague answers and never sent one to our room. The hotel lacks accessibility features; there’s a lot of climbing from reception to the rooms. The closed, rundown buildings in front of the reception create a bad first impression. We booked for 3 nights but only stayed one.

The rooms were comfortable and the facilities, including a very pleasant and tasty restaurant, were good, but the pool was out of service and some areas were still under construction.

The room and service were good, and the highlight was the play area for kids and the swimming pool. Everything else was fine.

We booked a 4‑day, 3‑night stay but had to switch hotels after the first night because of a power outage and an uncomfortable room. I asked for a floodlight, but it never arrived, ruining our sleep. The bathroom light leaked water, forcing a room change, and after tea the bathroom flooded.

The view is stunning. Bikash Khatri at the restaurant was a real gem, always attentive to detail and warmly welcoming each time—so young yet outstanding among the staff. Binita’s daily masala tea, served with a bright smile, brightened our mornings. The resort is very far from all other facilities, and we only had two morning shuttles. We asked the reception for mosquito repellent coils, but after several calls nothing was delivered. Reception services are inadequate and unresponsive; this area needs improvement. I wish there were more people like Bikash, who would make an excellent Reception Manager with his detail orientation and communication skills.
