A good spot near the centre, the winter arena and Tatra museums, and a very pleasant, helpful housekeeper; I’m not trying to hurt the owner’s reputation, just give an honest picture—she’s truly wonderful, but the building and facilities are dated, the exterior looks a bit like frozen socialism, we entered through side door 2, the public parking is free yet always full, the room is rather small, the tiny fridge makes odd noises, the two beds are pushed together leaving a large gap so there’s no “big double bed” as advertised, the view is over the roofs of the adjacent building and at night you can hear a train from the nearby station, so I can’t see staying more than one night here. The €55 nightly rate is fair and matches reality, while the 9‑point rating on the booking site seems far off; after traveling a lot in the Czech Republic and abroad, we’d rate it realistically between 6 and 7, giving the owner a solid 7.

Great location near the Tatra truck museum, close to Penny Market and a bowling alley. At night the church bells ring through an open window.
