The TV had a big screen and the bed was comfortable, but the wardrobe was too small and the bedroom itself felt cramped; at least I was on my own, otherwise the seagulls would have nearly attacked me.

The only thing that worked was the location; everything else was a disappointment—smelly, sticky, stained, grubby, and old, with a tiny shower whose hose barely worked and a broken cooker.

The caravan had a nice homely feel to it, and it was a plus that they provided some extras like towels, oil heaters, and an extra gas canister. However, we had some issues with the electric tripping multiple times a day, and the heating just wasn't up to scratch - the oil heaters didn't do much, and the gas fire couldn't be left on for long. We ended up with freezing nights, and the kids got unwell.

The only good thing I can say is that it was warm when we arrived. That's about it, to be honest. The place was dated, the kitchen was a mess with sticky cupboards and worktops, and the shower tray was broken and a bit of a hazard. No bedding was provided, and when I emailed, I didn't get a response. The site was pretty noisy, with kids being loud and not very respectful. Didn't feel safe after dark.

Clacton on Sea is a great spot, but that's where the positives end. The place looked amazing on the pictures, but in reality, it was a total letdown. After checking in, I reached out to the manager about some issues with the caravan, like it reclining and its overall condition, but she clearly didn't care. Definitely wouldn't recommend.
