The hotel is very centrally located and the view from our room and the breakfast terrace was exceptional. The highlight was our host, who welcomed us warmly, shared tips for last‑minute Machu Picchu tickets, and recommended a great hike in Aguas Calientes when we had an extra day. However, the hotel feels very basic and run‑down—more like a hostel, and the price is too steep for that. We felt safe, but the room didn't feel clean; there were smashed bugs on the walls, and the water was never truly hot—just tepid—and it seems the host can't fix that. This might be the norm in Aguas Calientes, unless you opt for a five‑star experience.

The staff were super friendly, waited for my late arrival, and made breakfast early at my request; they also helped me get medication when I woke up sick, which really made my day.

Convenient to find and easy to navigate. They were accommodating when we left so early and handed us a boxed meal for the train ride. The shower only had barely warm water.
