Near the festival, the beds were high and comfortable. The bathroom was clean, we received plenty of towels, and there was a heated dryer in the bathroom. I really liked the common area, it’s a good starting point to meet other guests. The vibe was very good. We could have used a small wardrobe/wardrobe or a bedside locker.
“It a good choice for a fair price.”
I stayed in a single room for one night with my two cats. It served its purpose; the parking lot is close to the rooms, which made it easy to load everything. There’s a shared kitchen with a few appliances. The bathroom wasn’t the cleanest, but it was fine for a single night.
“Günstig gelegen”
Conveniently located in Broock, on the edge of the lake district. A simple but very tidy house on the back road. Good for a one‑night stay. Friendly reception. Because most guests are on their way to work, there’s noise from 5:45 to 6:15… after that it’s quiet again.
“Durchwachsen!”
The host was very friendly, and the email communication and overall communication ran smoothly. Check‑in was also hassle‑free. Everything else, unfortunately, was not quite as convincing. The room itself was fine, but I think it could use a fresh coat of paint, new furniture, and more modern bathroom fittings. The beds were especially disappointing: the mattresses were noticeably sagging and the wooden frames squeaked with every movement, giving us the impression that they weren’t very stable. I know the inn is in the countryside, but mosquito nets on the windows would have been really useful. The whole room was full of mosquitoes, which made the stay even less pleasant. The most negative part for us was the early departure situation. Because of family reasons we had to leave earlier and didn’t even stay 24 hours in the room. Still, we had to pay the full price for the originally booked stay from Friday to Sunday. I understand that a reservation is binding and that a refund is not usually expected for a short‑notice departure. Having worked several years in a small country hotel myself, I know that in such special circumstances a goodwill solution can often be found. Unfortunately, the lady was not willing to accommodate us in this regard, which was very disappointing. The breakfast, however, was really good and definitely worth the price. One small note: the lady preparing breakfast should maybe make sure guests can’t see her being complained about other things. On the table there were crumbs from rolls and eggshells.
“Alles ok.”
The coffee was very good and especially hot.
