One of the best hostel stays I've had in my many years of traveling. I stayed in the 6 bed pod room. The room itself is simple and just a room to sleep in and store your bags. But the overall facilities and food options are stellar. The staff is genuinely helpful and accommodating. The restaurant on the first floor has great breakfast and good coffee. At night it was lovely to come back to a bar serving a selection of whiskeys, and just relax and read after a long day of walking. On the basement floor there is a small library, a small movie theater, and a general hangout spot. They have both check-in and check-out bag storage in two different rooms with ample space. I would say it's a little pricey in general compared to other hostels, but you get a lot for the money, plus staying in Edinburgh is just generally expensive. And lastly the location is right next to St Giles Cathedral on Royal Mile. It was nice to be here for my introductory night in the city. Mostly everything is great. If anything, just be aware that towels are not included and one towel is an extra £3

Nada romántica, aunque si hubo quien tomaron sus 5 minutos. Sanitarios funcionando, hubo varios que no servían

Great location, the hostel feels like a home and has many activities. Guests are respectful and don't make noise during the night in the rooms. The Code offers great activities and has room for both relaxation and socializing. The drinks and food were good as well. I think everything was amazing. The only "negative" i have, is that it does get quite hot in the pods (you can get a small fan at the front desk). During autumn/winter it is fine, but i can imagine it must be very hot during summer. On the other hand: it is still a hostel, so we can't expect everything to be the same as in a high scale hotel. This hostel is one of the better, if not the best one in Edinburgh
