Arriving late at night, the guard greeted us, escorted us to our room, and pointed us toward the ground‑floor restaurant where we found dinner. The staff were polite and humble, the breakfast was simple, fresh, and well served, and the room itself was clean with a vintage charm—neat and crisp, no added value beyond the 100‑year‑old building. The surroundings were quiet and tidy. The only drawback was the old lift that only works if the collapsible grill doors are closed correctly; otherwise we had to climb a single stair to reach the first‑floor hotel.
